The Lower Owens River continues to run low and super clear.  Days are warmed to around 60 degrees while much colder temperatures are found blue in the streams by Mammoth Lakes.  The flow is around 70-80 cfs and the LADWP flow Guage does not register at the moment.  Baetis and Midges are the main food sources at the moment.  We have seen some fish eating Stick Caddis completely whole,  processing the bug inside and passing the shell out.  Fish all these patterns in #18-22.  Some larger Baetis adults can go as high as #16. The hatch seems to continue to run around 11-1pm depending on Rive location.  We hope for more dry Fly action as this is the preferred time to fish the Lower Owens for many Fly Anglers.
